A pet portrait is a perfect way to honour your furry or feathery friend. Ideally I prefer to spend time with animals and take my own set of photographs in order to identify and capture personality traits that are unique to every animal, but if I am unable to meet the animal in person I can paint a portrait based on photos supplied by the owner.
It is essential to capture the personality for pet portraits where the difference between a great animal painting and a personal momento that makes you smile is all in the detail of expressions and context. Prices for commissions are quoted individually depending on the size, medium and complexity of the subject. Please see a wide collection of my commission on my testimonials page. I work from good quality photographs and ask for a selection, the more the better! If you are not too far from me we can always meet up so I can take my own photos.
